Welcome to VAN HART GALLERY, an online art gallery based in East Yorkshire, England, run by myself - artist Vanessa Hart - with husband Peter. As the gallery grows we will offer a range of contemporary, vintage and antique artwork including original drawings and paintings, prints, engravings, lithographs and textile art, as well as my own artwork creations.

We have over 15 years experience in online sales, on other platforms and shops, in the areas of vintage collectables and art, covering all aspects from sourcing, item preparation and refurbishment, research and photography, to shop administration and order fulfillment.

I am a self taught artist with a lifelong love of art, having come from an artistic family and background. I am interested in 18th to 20th century British art, 19th century engravings and the Old Masters, amongst others, and I enjoy drawing and painting fine art portraiture. Peter has a keen eye for detail and has immense professional experience. He provides invaluable help in the sourcing and preparation of artwork for the gallery, and I.T. maintenance. We both have a professional background in pre-digital photography, film and print processes, retouching and restoration, and print finishing and framing, with a combined experience of over 45 years in those fields.
