Small vintage/antique hand-painted print of a drawing from an engraving, mounted and framed (vintage) and ready to hang.
Cartoon style artwork of an off-street scene with a policeman arresting an older man. Another man walking in the background. The black outlines are printed and the colours are watercolour paints. Printed caption along bottom of print states 'Very young policeman. "Look here, old man, this is absolutely my first arrest, so why not play the game and help me to make it a great success?". Printed signature Chas Grave. British artist Charles Grave (1886-1944).
Frame Details:
Muted dusky green board overlay mount. Moulded wooden frame edges, finished in an old gold colour with beading to inner/outer edges, and a black line near inner edge. Glass to front. Hardboard back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal tab for hanging.

External size, including frame, approx 11 9/10 x 9 9/10 inches, 32cm x 25.2cm.
Size of visible print only (the mount aperture size) approx 6 8/10 x 4 5/8 inches, 17.3cm x 11.7cm. Upright.
Condition Notes:
Print/artwork excellent. A few very small marks under the glass. Frame edges have a few small scuffs and nicks, and slight wear. Rest of frame very good to excellent.
