Vintage Oil Painting, Sunhats by S Kirk (aft Goethem) Beach Children, Frame Size 20 1/4 x 16 1/4 ins

Circa 1970s-1980s oil painting on canvas panel board, framed. Ready to hang.

Two small children, rear view, standing in the water's edge on a beach, wearing blue and white clothes and hats. Small amount of sandy beach to foreground corner. Pale blue and white water and small waves. Signed S. Kirk on the painting. Rear board signed Steven Kirk, Sun Hats. Brushstrokes range from smooth to textured to coarser/raised strokes. Although not stated on the item I think this is a copy of the artwork 'Sunhats' by Edouard van Goethem, an artist of the Victorian era.
Art Style: Impressionist, semi-naive. The beach and sea are a little abstract too.

Frame Details:
Moulded wooden frame, finished in old gold colour with textured pattern to outer edges, and fine gold beading and a fine black line to inner edges. No glass. Tabbed and taped rear frame edges. Metal eyes, with cord for hanging. Board maker's name printed on back of board.

External size, including frame, approx 20 1/4 x 16 1/4 inches, 51.3cm x 41.3cm.
Size of visible painting only (the front of frame aperture) approx 17 1/2 x 13 1/2 inches, 44.4cm x 34.3cm.
Upright.

Condition Notes:
Painting excellent. Slight wear to front frame edges. Wear to frame corners. Small indent nicks on edges of frame. Small scuffs and marks to back of board.
