Pause for Thought by Delphin Enjolras (b 1857) Vintage Print w/ Brushstroke Finish, Framed

Circa 1980s-1990s print edition and frame, of an Edwardian era artwork.
Colour lithographic print with textured brushstroke effect finish on the surface, in a substantial frame. Ready to hang.

Metal name plate on bottom edge of frame states 'Pause For Thought by Delphin Enjolras'. French artist, 1857-1945. Printed signature on the picture. An Art Nouveau era portrait of a lady sitting at a table on a terrace overlooking a lake or river, in the early evening (hence the dusky, muted blue tones, known as the L'Heure Bleue or the Blue Hour in France). She is holding a book. A lamp, tableware and roses on the table. Romantic fine art style with an impressionist feel in parts.

Frame Details:
Chunky moulded wooden frame, finished in warm brown and dark brown colours with fine grain pattern, and gold colour inner edges. No glass. Tabbed and taped rear edges. Original maker's label. Plastic fixing for hanging.

Size of visible print only (the front of frame aperture) 15 2/10 x 10 9/10 inches, 38.5cm x 27.8cm. Upright.

Condition Notes:
Print excellent. Slight wear and small abrasions/marks to frame edges, otherwise the frame is very good to excellent. Small mark on rear board.
