Portsmouth Dockyard by James Jacques Joseph Tissot (1836-1902), as labelled on back of frame. A soldier and two ladies (holding parasols) sitting in a rowing boat on water, with ships and boats in the background.
Art Style: Fine, observational Victorian era portrait, romantic, sentimental, nautical, maritime.
Frame Details:
Muted darkish blue board overlay mount. Wooden frame, brown with gold colour inner edges and nice grain. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and taped edges, publisher's descriptive gallery label (Medici). Metal tab for hanging. Some of the fittings are newer.

External size, including frame, approx 11 x 9 inches, 28.1cm x 22.9cm.
Size of visible print only (the mount aperture size) approx 7 2/10 x 5 inches, 18.3cm x 12.6cm. Horizontal.
Condition:
Print excellent. Frame excellent.
