Antique Chromolithograph Print, Victorian Children Playing in Winter, Framed 13 3/4 x 10 1/4 ins

Print from the 19th century. Frame is later, circa 1980s estimated.
Antique chromo-lithographic colour print, mounted and framed (vintage). Ready to hang.

A winter's scene of a group of boys slipping and sliding along an icy path, in various states of disarray! Two girls are watching, and a dog is running alongside the boys, perilously close to a hole in the ice! Tiny white border to three sides of the print. Lovely colours and very fine quality. The rear of the frame has a facsimile copy of a hand-written Christmas gift inscription copied from the back of the print. Artist unknown. Not signed.
Art Style: Fine, traditional, rustic, sentimental, humourous, Victorian genre observational portraiture.

Frame Details:
Muted green board overlay mount with hand drawn line around the aperture. Nice moulded wooden frame, various natural shades of brown with lovely grain. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal eyes, with cord for hanging. The rear fittings are newer than the rest of the frame.

External dimensions including frame, approx 13 3/4 x 10 1/4 inches, 35cm x 26cm.
Size of visible print only, excluding all borders, approx 8 2/10 x 5 1/2 inches, 20.7cm x 14cm. Upright.

Condition:
Print excellent and of very fine quality. Very minor wear and little indent marks to frame edges. Rest of frame excellent. A wonderful picture!
