Antique intaglio print from a copper plate engraving (miniature artwork area with wide borders around it), mounted and framed (vintage). Ready to hang.
Titled 'Loches - La Porte Picoys' on the picture. Printed signature 'L. Robin' (Leopold Robin 1877-1939, French artist). Brown tone print on finely speckled light beige paper. Street scene with old buildings, a tower with archway underneath, over the street, in Loches, Loire, France. Relatively wide border around print with French language imprint to the bottom left which translates to printed by hand from a copper plate engraving.
Art Style: Fine, historical, architectural.
Frame Details:
Muted brown board overlay mount. Narrow wooden frame, brown with gold colour inner edges. Glass to front. Hardboard back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal eyes, with cord for hanging. Some of the rear fittings are newer.
Size:
External size including frame, approx 11 6/10 x 9 inches, 29.4cm x 22.8cm. Size of artwork area only, excluding all borders, approx 4 1/4 x just over 3 inches, 10.8cm x 7.7cm. Upright.
Condition Notes:
Print has slight yellowing marks to edges but excellent on the whole. Slight wear and a few very small indents to frame edges. Rest of frame excellent.
