Antique Edwin Landseer Dog Engraving Art Print 'High Life', Framed Size 12 3/4 x 10 3/4 ins

Item Type: Antique tonal warm black and white print from an engraving, mounted and framed (vintage). Ready to hang.
Subject / Artist: 'High Life by Edwin Landseer RA (b. 1802), Engraver Henry Beckwith', as labelled on back of frame. Beautiful observational portrait of a dog sitting upright (rear/side view), in an indoor setting, next to a chair and table with its master's belongings around, such as a helmet, chalice, books and quill, and a small view through a window to a castle tower and flag.
Art Style: Fine, classical, elegant, Victorian era animal portraiture.
Frame Details: Black board overlay mount. Wooden frame, finished in black with metallic colour beading to front edges. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal tab for hanging. Some of the rear fittings are newer.
External size, including frame, approx 12 3/4 x 10 3/4 inches, 32.3cm x 27.2cm.
Size of visible print only (the mount aperture) approx 8 9/10 x 7 2/10 inches, 22.6cm x 18.2cm. Upright.
Condition: The print has some mottled marks on the surface which are more visible at certain angles, otherwise the print is very good and of very fine quality. Slight general wear to frame edges, and a few nicks and crackle marks to external sides of frame. Rest of frame very good.
