Antique chromolithographic colour print, mounted and framed. Ready to hang.
A horse galloping at pace in an outdoor setting. It has a saddle, stirrups, reins, and saddlebags next to the top of the saddle, but no rider. The horse has a slightly distressed look on its face as if fleeing. Labels on back of frame state 'Riderless' and 'The Dangerfield Printing Co Ltd, London'.
Art Style: Fine, naturalistic.
Frame Details: Print mounted on top of slate green board. Wooden frame with relatively wide edges, warm brown colour finish with grain, markings and knots. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal fixing for hanging.
External size, including frame, approx 12 2/10 x 10 2/10 inches, 31cm x 25.8cm.
Size of print only, approx 8 x 6 1/8 inches.
Orientation: Upright.
Condition: Print very good. Slight wear to frame edges. Please note that most of the marks in the wood are natural and the intended effect. Rest of frame very good to excellent.
