Antique 'Newcastle Castle' Small Engraving Art Print in Wooden Frame, frame marks

Antique small tonal black and white print from an engraving. Mounted and framed (vintage). Ready to hang.

Castle exterior with people and animals, and birds flying in the sky. Print borders have columns, knights, arches, flags and armour. Great picture! Shield on the bottom border states 'Newcastle Castle Northumbd.'. Label on back of frame states 'Published by J & F Tallis, London, c. 1840-1850'.
Art Style: Fine, traditional, historical, architectural.

Frame Details: Print mounted on top of slate grey board with fine hand-drawn grey lines around the print. Moulded wooden frame, warm darkish brown with gold inner edge, with surface shapes including stepped, reeded, curved and bevelled. Glass to front. Board back on frame with newer tabbed and taped edges. Metal eyes and rings, with cord for hanging.

External size, including frame, approx 13 3/10 x 11 3/10 inches, 33.8cm x 28.7cm.
Size of print only, approx 7 x 4 3/4 inches, 17.8cm x 12cm.
Orientation: Upright.

Condition: Print has some foxing spots and light blemishes, mostly around the edges. Otherwise the print is excellent and interesting to look at. The wooden frame edges have various fine scuffs, marks and nicks, see pictures. Rest of frame very good to excellent.
