Antique original small watercolour painting, mounted and framed. Ready to hang.

A woman in traditional long clothing, walking down a country lane in the distance (rear view). Trees, foliage and sky. Appears to be painted on paper. Folksy, simple style, slightly impressionist. Gentle colours.
Artist-signed. The signature looks like G.W.? (or maybe G.O. or G.D.?), and dated 1910.

Frame Details:
Beige card overlay mount. Wooden frame, old gold colour finish with stippled texture. Glass to front. Paper back on frame probably with board underneath it. Tabbed and taped back edges with metal eyes with string for hanging (these are newer than the rest of the frame). Small pencil written number on rear top edge (the edging tape is cut around the number).

Size:
External dimensions, including frame, approx 12 3/8 x 8 inches, 31.3cm x 20.5cm. Size of visible artwork only (the mount aperture) about 8 x 4 inches, 20.2cm x 10.3cm. Upright.

Condition Notes:
Painting very good with slight darkening around the edges. Card mount has fine mottled marks all over and a few other small spots and marks. Glass very good. Frame edges very good overall with age related patina in the texture and on the corners. The paper on the back of the frame is stained. Other rear fittings very good.
