1980s print edition and frame, of an 1855 artwork.
Small colour lithographic print, mounted and framed. Ready to hang.

A domestic interior scene, with a landlord and his assistant preparing to evict a young widow and her children. She is appealing to him, and he has a concerned look as if about to relent. Fascinating artwork of fine quality and expressions, and lovely colours. 'Relenting by Thomas Brooks (1818-1891)', as labelled on back of frame. British artist from Hull, England.
Art Style: Victorian life, traditional, fine, realistic, domestic, observational portraiture.

Frame Details:
Muted darkish green board overlay mount. Simple wooden frame, mid brown with lots of grain, and bevelled/recessed front edge. Glass to front. Hardboard back on frame with pinned and taped edges. Metal tab for hanging.

External size, including frame, approx 10 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches, 26.7cm x 21.5cm.
Size of visible print only (the mount aperture) approx 7 3/10 x 5 3/8 inches, 18.4cm x 13.7cm.
Horizontal picture.

Condition:
Print excellent. Small amount of roughness in the natural grain of the wood and inner/lower edges. Rest of frame excellent.
