Temple of Confucius Antique Hand Coloured Engraving Print in Frame Sized 12 9/10 x 10 9/10 ins

Item Type: Antique hand-coloured print from an engraving, mounted and framed (vintage), and ready to hang.
Subject / Artist: 'First Entrance Gate to the Temple of Confucius, Ching-hui' as titled on the picture. Engraved by J. Tingle from a drawing by T. Allom. An outdoor scene of the gateway with fascinating oriental architecture, with people around. Integral border around the artwork with titles and names printed on the bottom border.
Frame Details:
Textured light cream board overlay mount. Narrow moulded wooden frame edges, warm brown with gold and black colour inner edge lines. Glass to front. Hardboard back on frame with old dealer's label, and tabbed and taped edges. Metal tab hanger. Some of the rear fittings are newer.
Size:
External size, including frame, approx 12 9/10 x 10 9/10 inches, 32.8cm x 27.6cm. Horizontal.
Size of visible print only including borders and names (the mount aperture size) approx 8 x 6 2/10 inches, 20.3cm x 15.7cm. Horizontal.
Condition: Darkening to edges of the print borders, and slight discolouration to print in general, but the artwork area itself is excellent on the whole. Small fine scuff line on the glass. Rest of frame excellent with minimal wear.
