A riverside landscape scene, with river, various birds, wooden bridge with a couple of people and a dovecote, house and trees. Labelled on the back 'Thames Valley A Summer's Afternoon by Edward Duncan RWS (1803-1882)', along with a publisher's label. Printed in England.
Art Style: Idyllic, traditional, atmospheric.
1980s print edition and frame.
Frame Details: Double board overlay mounts - dark brown inner mount, and mottled cream colour top mount. Moulded wooden frame in warm brown with gold colour inner edges. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and newly taped edges. Metal eyes, with cord for hanging.
External size, including frame, approx 14 3/10 x 12 3/10 inches, 36.3cm x 31.2cm.
Size of visible print only (the inner mount aperture size) approx 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches, 21.5cm x 14cm.
Orientation: Horizontal.
Condition: Print excellent. Slight wear/small marks to wooden frame edges and gold inner edges, otherwise the frame is excellent.
