Vintage Lincoln Watercolour Painting of Blackfriars Street by T P Marratt? 1960s, Small, Framed
1960s original small painting, watercolour and ink, mounted and framed. Ready to hang.
Titled 'Blackfriars, Lincoln'. A street scene in England with ancient rundown buildings, rough road surface, and street lamp. Black outlines with lots of busy detail, and the watercolours are placed in an irregular way in gentle blues, muted green, yellow and brown. On a white paper background.
Artist: Illegible signature. It looks like T. P. Marratt '68.
Frame Details:
Slate blue board overlay mount. Wooden frame, warm dark brown with recessed bevelled front edges. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal eyes with cord for hanging. Some of the fittings fittings are newer.

External dimensions, including frame, approx 10 5/8 x 8 7/10 x 3/4 inch, 27cm x 22.1cm.
Size of visible artwork only (the mount aperture size) approx 7 1/2 x 5 5/8 inches, 19cm x 14.2cm. Upright.
Condition:
A few tiny stray black dots in the sky, otherwise the artwork is excellent. Couple of small dust particles under the glass. Otherwise frame excellent with natural variation in the grain and colour density.
