Vintage Naive Painting, Country Cottage by Pond with a Swan by K Hemsley 1970, Framed, defect

Original 1970 painting, framed. Ready to hang.
Paint type undetermined. Possibly acrylic or gouache. On fine canvas texture board. Defect - See condition notes below.

A cottage in the countryside, with trees, garden fence, grass, small pond with swan and tiny cygnet. Fields to side-background, and sky above. Muted, matte colours. Variety of brushstrokes from smooth to stippled and small swept shapes. Signed K. Hemsley 1970.
Art Style: Rustic, quaint, naive, charming, simple, folksy, surreal.

Frame Details:
Wooden frame, mid-light brown with recessed front edges. No glass. Paper covering on back of frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal eyes, with string for hanging. The rear fittings are newer.

Size:
External dimensions including frame, approx 16 1/2 x 8 8/10 x 1 1/4 inches, 41.8cm x 22.4cm x 3.2cm. Horizontal.

Condition Notes:
Small area of roughness on the painted surface (looks like an underlying surface abrasion in the canvas texture), with a slightly raised edge around it, just above the horizon on the right side. See pictures.
The rest of the painting is very good with a general aged look. Frame edges have a few marks, scuffs and signs of age. Back of frame very good.
