Vintage Oil Painting, Woodland River, Signed Small Artwork in Wooden Frame Size 14 6/10 x 12 6/10 in

Circa 1980s estimated, original small oil painting on a fine canvas texture panel, in a wide-edged wooden frame, ready to hang.

Subject / Artist:
A landscape with trees, grass, small and narrow bending river to middle, and sky through the trees. Illegible signature to bottom left, looks like Corter? or Couther? or similar! Brushstrokes range from smooth to stippled to coarse impasto. Contemporary impressionist style. Nice colours, mostly greens, blues and brown with some rustic orange-brown.

Frame Details:
Wide and deep moulded wooden frame, warm brown with spotty markings, grain, and score marks in the wood (I think these lines are the intended design as they are all over the frame). Inner hessian slip edging with bevelled old gold colour wood inner edges. No glass. Tacked and taped rear inner frame edges. Metal eyes and rings, with string for hanging. Unfinished/uncoloured wood to rear surfaces of frame.

External size, including frame, approx 14 6/10 x 12 6/10 inches, 37.3cm x 32.2cm.
Size of visible artwork only (the front of frame aperture) approx 6 8/10 x 4 7/10 inches, 17.2 x 11.9cm. Upright.

Condition Notes:
Painting excellent. Some wear and marks to frame edges but most of the markings, dots and lines are either natural or part of the intended finish. Marks on the back of the frame.
