Titled on the painting 'Carlton Church' and signed 'Wilson J.G. 1982'. Church exterior with tower, gate and wall, trees, grass and sky. Labelled on back of frame 'Church of St. John the Evangelist, Carlton, near Barnsley, South Yorkshire'. Naive, folksy style.

Frame Details:
Light beige board overlay mount. Moulded wooden frame edges, off-white with grey grain, and grey and gold colour inner edges. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal eyes, with cord for hanging. The rear fittings are newer.

Size:
External size, including frame, approx 14 1/2 x 11 1/2 inches, 37cm x 29.2cm.
Size of visible painting only (the mount aperture), approx 10 3/4 x 8 inches, 27.2cm x 20.4cm. Upright.

Condition:
Painting excellent. Slight wear to frame edges. A few tiny marks on the glass. Rest of frame excellent.
