Vintage Watercolour Painting, Lakeside Cottage and Trees by Don Albert, Frame Size 13 1/2 x 11 ins

From circa 1970s-1980s estimated, an original small watercolour painting, on cartridge paper, mounted and framed. Ready to hang.

A rural scene of a little cottage in the distance, with a pathway and grass, and trees around it. Beyond the cottage is a hazy rendition of a lake or river with ethereal trees in the far distance and their reflection in the water. There is a little wooden sailing boat on the water near the cottage. Please note the hazy line across the middle represents the far bank of the river or lake and is inbetween the trees and their reflection (this part is very subtley painted). Lovely gentle colours of mostly greens and browns, with some pale yellow and pale blue, on white paper. Signed Don Albert.

Frame Details:
Slate green board overlay mount. Simple wooden frame edges, in mid to light brown, straight sides and recessed bevelled inner edges. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal tab for hanging. Some of the fittings are newer.

External size, including frame, approx 13 1/2 x 11 inches, 34.2cm x 28cm.
Size of visible artwork only (the mount aperture) approx 9 4/10 x 6 9/10 inches, 23.8cm x 17.5cm. Horizontal.

Condition Notes:
Painting excellent. Slight wear to frame edges. Slight discolouration to back of frame. Rest of frame excellent.
