Rural scenery with farm buildings, lane, trees and foliage, a dog, and a farmer carrying a rake. Signed M. A. Somerville.
Art Style: Rustic, impressionist, folksy, semi-naive. Lovely picture!

Frame Details:
Muted dusky green board overlay mount. Simple wooden frame, light brown, with recessed front-inner edges. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal tab for hanging. The rear fittings are newer.

External size, including frame, approx 13 4/10 x 11 inches, 34cm x 28cm.
Size of visible painting only (the mount aperture) approx 9 9/10 x 6 9/10 inches, 25.2cm x 17.5cm.
Horizontal.

Condition:
Painting excellent. Couple of tiny scuff marks to the glass. Very slight wear to frame edges. Rest of frame excellent.
