1960s print edition of an early 20th century artwork. Frame circa 1970s.
Colour lithographic print, mounted and framed, ready to hang.

'Portrait of W. B. Yeats, c. 1907 by Augustus John (b. 1878), Print Published 1967' as labelled on back of frame. Head and shoulders portrait with the head turned slightly and looking off the the side. John was a Welsh artist, 1878-1961, of the 'Camden Town Group' and the 'New English Art Club' schools.
Art Style: Post-Impressionist, bohemian, atmospheric portraiture

Frame Details:
Muted light blue board overlay mount. Wooden frame with stepped/recessed moulding to front inner edges, in mid brown with grain. Glass to front. Hardboard back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal eyes with cord for hanging. Some of the fittings are newer.

Size:
External size, including frame, approx 12 1/4 x 12 1/4 inches, 31cm x 31cm. Square frame.
Size of visible print only (the mount aperture), approx 9 x 8 2/10 inches, 22.8cm x 20.8cm. Upright print.

Condition Notes:
A few very slight marks on the print but excellent overall. Frame excellent with minimal wear.
