A rural landscape scene with people working in the field, trees, cattle, a cottage, woodland in the distance, horizon and sky. Labelled on the back 'A View of Sussex by E M Wimperis (1835-1900)', along with a publisher's label.
Art Style: Rustic, traditional, semi-impressionist.
Circa 1970s-1980s print edition and frame.
Frame Details: Print mounted onto brown board. Moulded wooden frame with relatively wide edges, warm mid brown with lovely grain, and other natural markings. Glass to front. Hardboard back on frame with newly tabbed and taped edges. Metal eyes and rings, with cord for hanging.
External size, including frame, approx 13 1/2 x 11 6/10 inches, 34.3cm x 29.5cm.
Size of print only approx 9 x 6 9/10 inches, 22.8cm x 17.4cm.
Orientation: Horizontal.
Condition: Print excellent. Natural wood markings on the external edges of the frame. Wooden frame edges have some small abrasions, nicks and delves in the wood, otherwise the frame is very good.
