Subject / Artist:
A rustic French country scene with houses, a road, trees, pond, greenery and lilac bushes. The outlines are printed from an etching, and the colours are watercolour paints. The artwork is oval shaped with a fine printing plate impression mark to the edge, and a light cream colour integral border around the artwork. Hand-signed in pencil on the bottom border 'Eau-Forte Originale. Les Lilas. Fare'. Contemporary-impressionist style and gentle colours.

Frame Details:
Double board overlay mounts with the apertures cut as ovals with square corners. The main overlay is speckled pale lilac, and the inner edge is a darker shade of lilac. Glass to front. Wooden frame edges, coloured muted mid-brown with some subtle grey colour, and grey and gold lines to inner edges. Hardboard back on frame. Original fixings, old framer's label, and cord for hanging.
Beautiful artwork and presentation.

External dimensions, including frame, approx 13 x 10 3/4 inches, 33.2cm x 27.3cm.
Size of visible print, including the cream border (the inner mount aperture size) approx 7 6/10 inches (mid-side to mid-side) x 6 2/10 inches(mid-top to mid-bottom), that's 19.3cm x 15.8cm. Horizontal presentation.

Condition:
Artwork excellent. Slight wear to frame edges. Signs of age on the back of the frame. Rest of framing excellent.
