'The Ghillie's Friend 1884 by James Hardy Jnr (1832-1889)', as labelled on back of frame. Boy standing next to a horse and looking to the side/distance. Two dogs looking towards him. In a landscape setting with horizon and sky. Possibly some standing stones(?) in the distance, upper right. A beautiful picture!
Hardy was a British artist from the Sussex / Surrey area, who painted a lot of Scottish scenery.
Art Style: Victorian life, observational portraiture, traditional, rustic, rural, semi-impressionist.

Frame Details:
Muted darkish brown board overlay mount. Simple wooden frame, light brown with fine grain and slight sheen finish. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal tab for hanging. Some of the rear fittings are newer.

Size:
External size, including frame, approx 10 7/10 x 8 7/10 inches, 27.2cm x 22.1cm.
Size of visible print only (the mount aperture) approx 6 8/10 x 5 1/4 inches, 17.3cm x 13.3cm. Horizontal.

Condition:
Print excellent. Frame excellent.
