Titled on back of frame 'Murlough Co. Antrim', and signed on the artwork Sam Mclarnon. Irish artist 1924-2012. A Northern Ireland sea-and-landscape with bay, foreshore with rocks, land with trees and houses, and sky. Watercolour paint with some pencil outlines, on paper. Gentle colours. A mix of broad strokes, dabs and colourwash.
Art Style: Impressionist, quaint, rustic, folksy.
Frame Details:
Board overlay mount, off-white with hand drawn and painted border around aperture. Moulded wooden frame, mid brown with gold and grey inner edges, and recessed front moulding. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal eyes, with cord for hanging. Some of the rear fittings are newer.

External dimensions including frame, approx 13 6/10 x 11 1/4 x 8/10 inch, 34.5cm x 28.6cm x 2cm.
Size of visible artwork only (the mount aperture) approx 8 x 5 1/4 inches, 20.4cm x 13.3cm.
Horizontal.
Condition Notes:
Mottled beige marks/foxing in the sky. Pale beige mark in the sea. Rest of painting very good. Board mount has some small blemish marks. Glass very good. Slight wear/marks to frame edges and corners. Discolouration to rear board. Rest of back very good.
