Small sailing boats near a water's edges. Small building in the background. Land/horizon in the distance with sky above. Gentle colours, mostly browns and blues. Nice graduated mottled effect in the sky. Folksy impressionist style.
Artist signed B. Shaw.

Frame Details:
White board overlay mount. Moulded composite-plastic frame edges, coloured swirly brown with gold inner edge, and black external sides. Glass to front. Board back on frame. Tabbed and taped edges. Metal eyes with cord for hanging. The rear fittings are newer.

Size:
External dimensions, including frame, approx 13 3/4 x 11 3/4 inches, 34.9cm x 29.9cm. Size of visible artwork (mount aperture size) 9 8/10 x 7 8/10 inches, 24.8cm x 19.8cm. Horizontal.

Condition:
Painting excellent. Board mount has a few tiny dot marks. Frame edges have a few scuff lines, spots of wear and small dings. Rest of frame excellent.
