1960s Watercolour Painting, Houses by Sea by R W G Adams in Frame Sized 14 1/2 x 10 1/2 ins

Original framed painting from 1962. Pen and ink with watercolour paints on cartridge paper. Framed and ready to hang.

An old fashioned row of houses, descending away, with path and grass to foreground, sea and cliff in background, and sky above with birds. Signed RWG Adams, June 1962 on the painting. Mid-century impressionist style.

Frame Details:
Narrow wooden frame, finished in black. Glass to front. Hardboard on back of frame with original framer's label (Boots), dated Aug 1962, and metal rings with string for hanging. Tabbed and taped back edges (these are newer).

Size:
External dimensions, including frame, approx 14 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches, 36.8cm x 26.7cm. Upright.

Condition:
Couple of tiny dot marks to top corner of painting, otherwise painting is excellent. Frame edges have some fine scuffs, marks, and very fine scratch lines but nothing unusual. Glass excellent. Backboard, label, rings/string are marked or darkened with age.
