Vintage North Yorkshire Village Pastel Drawing, Brompton by S Percival, Frame 15 3/8 x 12 3/4 ins

Original colour pastel drawing, mounted and framed. Ready to hang.
'Brompton', hand-written title on the picture. A village in North Yorkshire, England. Landscape scene of a small river and bridge, fields with white birds on the grass (probably swans or geese), trees, buildings, church spire and sky.
Charming naive-folksy-impressionist style in muted colours.
Artist: S. Percival, signed on the picture. Small hand-written gift label on back of frame, dated 1983.
Frame Details:
Card overlay mount in muted blue-grey. Wooden frame, coloured white with a gold line, and reeded recessed front moulding. Glass to front. Hardboard back on frame with tabbed and taped edges, and metal eyes with string for hanging. Small reference number label on the back. Some of the rear fittings are newer.
Size:
External size, including frame, approx 15 3/8 x 12 3/4 x 3/4 inch, 39.1cm x 32.3cm x 1.9cm. Size of visible drawing only (the mount aperture) approx 11 1/10 x 8 3/10 inches, 28.1cm x 21.2cm. Horizontal.
Condition:
Drawing excellent but the paper surface has slight waviness which becomes more visible when angled in the light. Couple of tiny marks on the card mount. Glass excellent. The white frame edges have various scuffs, marks, lines and little nicks in the white paint, all commensurate with age. Rear hardboard has a few small marks and labels are aged. Other back parts are excellent.
