Colour lithographic print, framed and ready to hang.
'By The River' by M. Levis, as labelled on back with a publisher's label too. Maurice Levis printed signature on picture. French artist, 1869-1940. Lovely impressionist river and landscape, with two people on the riverbank, trees, little boats on the river, castle to background, and sky. Nice muted colours. Similar feel to John Constable's work.
Art Style: Impressionist, romantic, rustic, idyllic.
Frame Details:
Wooden frame, mid brown with grained gold colour inner edges. Tapered sides and curved, bevelled inner edges. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal eyes, with cord for hanging.
Size:
External size, including frame, approx 15 x 13 x 1 1/8 inches, 38cm x 33cm x 2.7cm. Upright.
Condition Notes:
Excellent with minimal wear to frame edges.
