Vintage Drawing, Coastal Old Town by John Sulhern/Southern? 1978, Framed Size 10 8/10 x 8 1/8 ins

1970s original art drawing, mounted and framed. Ready to hang. Exact medium unknown. It looks like pen and ink outlines, and the colours look like waxy pastel or crayon and/or pencil in parts. On finely textured paper.

Depicting an old town by the sea. Buildings, a tower, natural harbourside with steps leading down to water, water's edge and sky, and a sparse minimalist foreground. Contemporary impressionist style. Gentle colours, with some heavier areas and some very subtle parts.
Signed bottom right. First name John, second name we are uncertain of but looks like Sulhern or Southern, and dated 1978.

Frame Details:
Cream speckled card overlay mount. Narrow wooden frame, mid-brown. Glass to front. Hardboard back on frame with tabbed and taped edges, and metal eyes with cord for hanging. Some of the rear fittings are newer.

External dimensions, including frame, approx 10 8/10 x 8 1/8 inches, 27.5cm x 20.7cm.
Size of visible drawing only (the mount aperture), approx 8 7/10 x 5 3/4 inches, 22cm x 14.6cm. Horizontal.

Condition Notes:
Drawing excellent. Glass has a couple of tiny scuff marks. Dark marks on the outer frame corners are a build up of patina around the little framing nails. Slight wear to frame edges. Rest of frame excellent.
