Vintage Oil Painting, Girl Feeding Birds at Cottage by S Digance, Framed Size 14 1/8 x 11 ins

Circa 1980s painting and frame, depicting an earlier age (Victorian-Edwardian in style).
Original oil painting on hardboard, framed. Ready to hang.

Signed S. Digance. Girl at a garden gate feeding two white birds. Cottage and flower garden behind. Light colour tones with a golden-yellow hue. Brushstrokes range from smooth to slightly coarser/raised on the flowers. Some parts are painted in quite a basic way, for example the face.
Art Style: Naive, traditional, idyllic, rustic, charming, folksy.

Frame Details:
Lovely moulded wooden frame, rich darkish brown with swirly pattern to mid front, and rope beading to inner edges. No glass. Tabbed and taped rear frame edge, and metal eyes with cord for hanging (these are newer).

External size, including frame, approx 14 1/8 x 11 inches, 36cm x 28cm.
Size of visible painting only (the front of frame aperture), approx 10 x 6 8/10 inches, 25.5cm x 17.3cm. Horizontal.

Condition:
Painting excellent. Small scuffs/nicks to frame edges. Rest of frame very good to excellent.
