Vintage Order of the Garter Portrait by James Gunn 1952, Roger Lumley Earl of Scarborough, Framed

Original 1950s tonal black and white print with a creamy pale yellow tint and slightly textured surface, mounted and framed, ready to hang.

Full length art portrait of a Knight of the Order of the Garter in an outdoor setting with a castle in the distance. Small printed signature James Gunn '52 (magnifier required!). Label on back of frames states 'Roger Lumley, 11th Earl of Scarborough (b. 1896), Knight Companion of the Garter 1948, by Herbert James Gunn (b. 1893), 1952'. Very fine quality portrait.

Frame Details:
Print mounted on top of textured cream colour card. Narrow wooden frame edges, finished in black. Glass to front. Paper covered board back on frame. Tabbed and taped edges and metal tab for hanging (these are newer).

External size, including frame, approx 14 1/2 x 10 4/10 inches, 36.8cm x 26.3cm.
Size of print only approx 11 1/4 x 7 inches, 28.6cm x 18cm. Upright.

Condition Notes:
Slight silvering to edges of print which becomes visible when angled in the light. Otherwise print excellent. A few tiny dot marks on the mount. Scuffs and marks to frame edges and back of frame.
