Vintage Royal Doulton 'Sutherland' Plate, Blue-White-Yellow Floral, c 1940s-1950s Pottery, 10 4/10"
Circa 1940s-1950s pottery plate.
Made by Royal Doulton, England. Backstamped.
Pattern name is Sutherland. D6315.
Warm white plate with small, fine, pale blue leaves pattern all over the top. Central illustration of flowers and leaves on stems, in colours of white, blue, yellow and brown.
Radial moulded lines pattern in the pottery on the outer edge of the plate.
Generally circular shape, with a wavy edge.
Diameter 10 4/10 inches, 26.4cm.
Condition: Very minor wear to the flowers. The top has fine cutlery scuff lines, a few little dots and dimples in the glaze, and a small bit of pottery grit in the glaze on the outer edge of the plate. The bottom of the plate has some fine scuff marks, very small marks, and visible kiln spur marks.
