Antique Art Print 'St George & the Dragon' by G Bertin Scott (b 1873) 17 1/4 x 13 1/2 ins incl frame

Circa 1930s print edition of an earlier artwork. Frame circa 1970s.
Antique colour lithographic print, mounted and framed (vintage) and ready to hang.

Subject / Artist:
Depiction of St. George on horseback slaying a dragon, in a landscape setting with castles in the distance. Skull and bones (part view) to corner of picture, and printed signature to the other corner. Labels on back of frame state 'Our Ancient Word of Courage, Fair St. George' and 'St. George and the Dragon by Georges Bertin Scott (1873-1943)'.

Frame Details:
Slightly textured gold board overlay mount. Chunky wooden frame edges, warm brown with slight sheen finish, with rope-twist moulding to front. Glass to front. Board back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal eyes, with cord for hanging. Some of the rear fittings are newer.

Size:
External size, including frame, approx 17 1/4 x 13 1/2 inches, 43.8cm x 34cm. Upright.
Size of visible artwork only (the mount aperture size) approx 12 3/10 x 8 8/10 inches, 31.2cm x 22.5cm. Upright.

Condition:
Print very ggod with tiny crease line to bottom corner. Frame edges have gaps to the mitred corners with some original glue visible within the gaps. Natural knots and marks in the wood. Slight wear and nicks to frame edges. Rest of framing excellent.
