Framed Vintage Foil Print, Robber Girl & Gerda from The Ice Queen by J & A Grahame Johnstone

Original vintage circa 1980s edition.
Colour lithographic foil print, framed. Ready to hang.

'The Robber Girl and Gerda with Reindeer by Janet and Anne Grahame Johnstone' as labelled on back of frame. Depicting a scene from The Ice Queen story, with the two girls, a reindeer, birds and animals, on snow covered ground with a tree and sky to background. Nice metallic colours and slight texture to print surface. The colour intensity and contrast change depending on the angle of the light. Really lovely! Probably made by Dufex of England (the main producer of foil prints in that era).
Art Style: Popular, story illustration, semi-cartoon, magical, mystical, bohemian, adventurous, folksy.

Frame Details:
Moulded wooden frame, warm brown and dark brown with gold colour inner edges. Glass to front. Hardboard back on frame with tabbed and taped edges. Metal tab for hanging.

Size:
External size, including frame, approx 15 1/8 x 12 1/8 inches, 38.3cm x 30.8cm. Upright.

Condition Notes:
Slight wear to frame edges. Print and rest of frame excellent.
